Alt-pop duo In the Morning Lights is a labour of love and patience that ties two very different yet very similar individuals together. Matilde and Frankie are from opposite corners of Europe, they don’t like the same films and have very different opinions about pineapple on pizza, but they both love to sit for hours and talk to each other.
Their songs are populated by characters and stories from those conversations - fragments of their friendship. In the Morning Lights is the result of many hours spent in a tiny room among tiny arguments, trying to figure out what to feel and how to say it.
'One of my faves to upload last year, they just make superb pop music’ - Emily Pilbeam, BBC Introducing West Yorkshire
